Scorpions maintain the lead

The Scorpions are still in the Smythe Division lead at 7-3, despite
a 5-1 loss to Hat Trix in a game played at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey
Center in Huntington Beach.
Brian Daigneault, Jared Musacchio and Kara Hoskins each slammed in a
point for Hat Trix. Brittany Downer scored twice with one assist.
Musacchio, Bryan Costa, Ariel Rassler and Trent Zaks each had one assist,
and Christopher Lowry added two more.
Goalie Colten Daigneault blocked 21 shot attempts for Hat Trix
(5-2-3).
Kevin Christi scored the Scorpions only goal, and goalie Kevin Fronk
had 26 saves for the team which stands at 7-3.
In other games:
* Timberwolves 9, Snipers 5
Ali Plummer scored twice and had two assists. Jacob Schnautz and
Michael Mowrey both had one goal and assist each. Jordan Wallace and
Dayne Fujiwara both scored twice, and Aaron Fulmer scored once.
Tip Donaldson had one assist, and goalie Amber Gibson had 27 saves for
the Timberwolves (5-4-1).
Chas Plimpton and Andrew Jackson each scored twice for the Snipers
(4-6). Kyle Steinbrick added another. Ian Jahns and Craig Chorpenning
each had an assist. Goalie Mark Kosko stopped 27 shot attempts.
* Flames 6, Avalanche 2
David Taylor scored twice, and Michael Eastman, Jeffrey Andrews,
Bradley Brandenburg and Martin De Jong each scored once. Joshua Austin
and Harrison Ono had one assist each. Goalie Sam Robinson blocked 14 shot
attempts for the Flames who are in their division lead at 7-1-2.
Jonathan Belanger and Robert Brothers each scored a point, and goalie
Ross Turchi had 29 saves for Avalanche (0-9-1).
* Thunderblades 5, Sabres 4
The Thunderblades won after a game that ended up in a shoot out.
Matthew Inouye, Luke Gane, Jake Galaviz, and Blake Jirges each scored
one goal, and Kevin Smit made the winning shot during the shoot out.
Danielle Miller had one assist, and goalie Stephen Miller blocked 20
attempted shots for the Thunderblades (2-4-4).
Nathan Sutton scored twice, and Kourtney Kunichika scored once.
Nicholas Capriccio scored one and had one assist, and Mitch Malone had
one assist. Goalie Garrett Ono had 26 saves for the Sabres (3-4-3).
