Students with Internet access can take noncredit computer classes at
home or the office with “Distance Learning” classes from Orange Coast
College.
These hands-on computer workshops deliver homework through e-mail to
participants at their desired location. Classes are designed to help
students upgrade work skills, learn a new talent or chart a career path
at their own pace.
Workshops begin every two weeks and include: Introduction to
Microsoft’s Visual Basic; Internet Security Principles and Practices;
computer graphics; Web programming; customer service; paralegal; and
personal enrichment classes.
Fees range from $59 to $199 per workshop. The courses run for six
weeks.
Registration is underway at OCC’s community education office, next to
the library. Participants may register by phone using major credit cards.
