Zoo camp offers animal experience

Youngsters can learn about animals during a weeklong zoo camp at
Orange Coast College.
The educational experience features science labs, field trips, games
and other events. Students ages 7 to 12 will work directly with animals
at the Santa Ana Zoo.
Study of animal skeletons and senses will be a part of the students’
curriculum.
The program takes place from July 31 to Aug. 4. Campers meet from 8:30
a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. On Thursday, the group visits
the San Diego Zoo and meets from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Friday, they
meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students should bring a sack lunch and
beverage each day.
Registration is $155 and includes transportation and materials.
Enrollment is underway at OCC’s community education office. OCC is at
2701 Fairview Road in Costa Mesa.
