1. TEE IT UP: Get out the golf clubs and start practicing your
swing. The 11th annual Irrelevant Week Runnin’ Gunnin’ Golf Tournament
will begin at 9 a.m. today at the Newport Beach Golf Course, 3100 Irvine

2. PET PROJECT: Canines can bring their owners to Costa Mesa’s Bark
Park for a “Doggy Dedication” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Pet owners
can create their own ceramic tiles saluting their dogs, and then see the
work when it is installed in the entrance to the newly renovated dog
park. Tile sales and painting will take place at the Bark Park, at
Arlington Drive and Newport Boulevard. Tiles are $25 each. Information:

3. GIVE ‘EM A HAND: Volunteers will be the guest of honor at a
Sunday luncheon hosted by Women Helping Women, a group dedicated to
helping unemployed women find jobs. The event will be held from 1 to 4
p.m. at the Costa Mesa Civic Center, 1845 Park Drive. Please call to make
