Boys tennis: CdM beats Mesa, 17-1

COSTA MESA - Corona del Mar high’s boys tennis team closed out its
Pacific Coast League season with a 17-1 victory over host Costa Mesa
Tuesday.
CdM’s (17-6, 8-2 in league) singles players of Brian Morton, Cameron Ball
and Hunter Jack won all nine sets, 6-0. Mesa (3-13, 2-8) got its only
team point from the No. 2 doubles team of Cuong Nguyen and Marvin Lam,
who beat Josh Stuart and Ryan Stockwell, 6-2.

Corona del Mar 17, Costa Mesa 1 Singles - Morton (CdM) def. Bernard, 6-0, def. Solomon, 6-0, def.
Lilaram, 6-0; Ball (CdM) won 6-0, 6-0, 6-0; Jack (CdM) won 6-0, 6-0, 6-0.
Doubles - Kulmaticki-Bean (CdM) def. Kazi-D. Nguyen, 6-2, def. C.
Nguyen-Lam, 6-2, def. Thien Pham-Thu Pham, 6-0; Stuart-Stockwell (CdM)
won 6-2, lost 2-6, won 6-2; Ming-Everson (CdM) won 6-1, 6-2, 6-2.
