It’s time once again to nominate a special volunteer for the Chamber of
Commerce Silver Anchor Award.
For the past three decades, the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce
has honored men and women who sacrifice themselves physically,
emotionally or financially by volunteering for various local
organizations.
Nominations are open to the public and must be submitted by March 31. It
should include the nominee’s name, phone number and address; a list of
community services the nominee has provided and in what capacity; the
nominee’s characteristics; and a list of references for the nominee.
Those submitting nominations must also include their name, phone number
and affiliation with the nominee.
The chamber will select four or five benevolent residents who make a
difference within the community. The awards ceremony will take place June
20.
Nominations can be faxed to Karin Graves at the chamber at (949)
729-4400. For questions, call (949) 729-4400.
In addition to the nomination process, the chamber is also seeking people
to serve on the event’s planning committee. If interested, call (949)
729-4414.
