COSTA MESA - Visiting Biola University’s baseball team scored seven
runs in the first three innings to defeat Vanguard, 8-1, in a Golden
State Athletic Conference game Saturday.
Second baseman Timothy Jara went 2 for 4 and hit a solo blast in the
third for the Lions’ only run. Mark Wade drove in three runs for Biola
(7-3, 3-1). Vanguard drops to 0-5, 0-3.
