AYSO Region 57: Galaxy Girls reach Area Finals

NEWPORT BEACH - AYSO Region 57’s Under-12 girls team, the Galaxy

Girls, advanced to the Area Finals following back-to-back wins last

weekend.

In game one against South Irvine, Taylor Beauchamp and Rachel Haber each

scored in the Galaxy Girls’ 2-1 win.

Jae Morosin, Kelly Nelson, Katie Wade and Caitlyn Czisny led the

defensive stand for the Galaxy Girls.

In game two against North Irvine, Emily Almaraz and Kara Jones each

scored in a 2-0 win.

Anchoring the Galaxy Girls’ defense was Kelly McElroy, Ashley Carnahan,

Caroline Claure and goalkeeper Amanda Knuppel.

The Area Finals will take place Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at Andersen Field.
