Athlete of the Month: The senior was named the Carson City Capital

Classic’s Most Valuable Player after leading the Sailors to a 61-59 upset

overtime win over previously-unbeaten Sacramento’s Kennedy High in the

championship game. In the three-game tournament, Illingworth averaged 28

points and 12 rebounds, while this year, he is second in the district in

scoring at 20.5 points per game.
