Newport-Mesa Unified School District is now accepting applications for
the Citizen’s Budget Advisory Committee.
The 14-member committee was established in 1992 to increase participation
and to make residents more knowledgeable about school funding and the
school district’s budget.
Committee terms are two years and begin in January. The committee meets
at least six times year, on the second Thursday of the month.
Subcommittees will be formed as necessary.
Any residents in the Newport-Mesa district interested in applying may
submit a letter to Supt. Robert Barbot, 2985 Bear Street, Costa Mesa
92626, by 4 p.m. on Dec. 14.
For more information, call Mike Fine, assistant superintendent for
business services, at (714) 424-5001.
