Women’s volleyball: Lions lose to Cal Baptist

COSTA MESA - Vanguard University put up a good fight, but Cal
Baptist, led by Yue Ming Li, defeated the Lions in five games in
Tuesday’s Golden State Athletic Conference volleyball action.
The Lions fell to the Lancers by the scores of 15-1, 10-15, 15-5,
6-15, 15-5.
Li had 30 kills and 21 digs, while Katie Marshall added 17 kills for
the Lancers (7-2, 3-1 in GSAC).
For the Lions (7-7, 1-3), Megan Godfrey had 14 kills and 10 digs,
Kristy Rostawicki added 15 kills and Joelle Mockabee had 34 assists and
five aces.
Vanguard U. will host Arizona’s Embry-Riddle College Friday at 7:30
p.m.
