High school seniors will lead parade with Janet Evans

Laguna Beach High School seniors Janie Crawford and Taylor Addis will join Olympic gold medal swimmer Janet Evans and other participants in the 49th Patriots Day Parade in March, according to a news release.

High school staff selected Janie and Taylor as the Junior Citizens of the Year for the parade, which will take place March 7.

This year’s parade was canceled because of rain, so the 2014 honorees will return in 2015. Participants will include Evans, the grand marshal; former U.S. Army Air Corps pilot Robert Mosier, the honored patriot; former Laguna Beach Mayor Wayne Baglin, Citizen of the Year; and world champion surfers Alisa Schwarzstein Cairns and Ian Cairns, Athletes of the Year.

The all-volunteer parade is supported by program ads, entry fees and donations.
