City seeking holiday palette design submissions

The Laguna Beach Arts Commission is accepting designs for the city’s annual holiday palette competition.

Winning artists will be provided a wooden palette on which to paint their original design. Palettes will adorn light posts throughout the city during the holiday season.

The honorarium for this project is $600.

Applicants must reside, work or exhibit in Laguna Beach and be at least 18 years old. Arts commissioners will judge entries based on creativity and appropriateness.

Designs must be submitted by 5 p.m. Oct. 5. Guidelines and the application is available at lagunabeachcity.net.
