Bullies, be gone

Newport Elementary School kicked off its school year with an emphasis on good character. The K-6 school’s Parent Teacher Assn. on Thursday hosted “The Bully Game,” an interactive assembly featuring John Abrams of Amazing Assemblies. The assembly focused on the basics of bullying with lessons such as “teasing versus taunting,” “no more gossip” and “bystander or witness.”
