Pet of the Week

Alfred is a 1-year-old Yorkshire terrier mix, starry-eyed — like his colorful patterned coat — about finding a forever home in 2013.
Despite his rather distinguished and formal-sounding name, this little guy is eager for walks, play and affection. Found as a stray in September, Alfred has watched wistfully as others were adopted and likely wonders (as do we) why he has not yet been chosen.
He is healthy, house-trained, neutered and easy to walk on a leash. Around other dogs, he is generally curious and well-behaved, but understandably selective about his canine friends. Come and make Alfred your star in the new year. His adoption fees are discounted 25% all week when you mention this announcement at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach.
For more information, call (714) 536–8480 or visit https://www.ochumanesociety.com. We welcome donations of washable fleece blankets or towels to keep the animals warm on chilly winter nights.
