Two shot in possible gang-related attack

Huntington Beach police are investigating a possible gang-related shooting Monday night in which two people were shot multiple times.

Police received multiple calls around 9:23 p.m. reporting gunshots in the 17400 block of Queens Lane, said Lt. Russell Reinhart.

Two people, whose names have not been released pending the results of the investigation, were treated at the scene and then transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange. The two victims are likely gang members, Reinhart said.

One victim was released from the hospital a few hours later, and the other remains in critical but stable condition, Reinhart said.

No suspects have been identified or arrested at this time.
