Letters: Moms can’t just walk away

Re “When does a father become one?,” Opinion, Aug. 12
I don’t have an answer to this messy question of what paternal rights a man who donates sperm has, but here’s a news flash: Having a kid is a big deal.
Maybe women get that more than men do because we have to first decide whether to have a child, and then we can’t run away or just send money to try and make things right.
Our decision is made earlier in the process, and we know that if we’re in, we’re in for the long haul.
