Teachers to Trump: #ArmMeWith books, not guns

Teachers across the country are speaking out about what they’d rather be armed with after President Trump suggested that arming them with guns in classrooms would prevent school shootings.
In a listening session with survivors of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting and in a barrage of tweets, Trump said some teachers should carry arms and receive military training. He also suggested they get a yearly bonus for being armed and ready to defend their schools.
Many teachers disagreed, and took to social media using the hashtag #ArmMeWith to demand school supplies, smaller class sizes and mental health resources, not guns:
