It’s amazing what you can achieve with slow shutter speeds. Even a still life or landscape can achieve an unusual look, especially when combined with a narrow aperture, which can cause small points of light to appear as stars.
Erik Estrada used a 30-second exposure at f/18 to make this image of Griffith Observatory overlooking downtown Los Angeles before dawn Sunday.
