Three hospitalized after water heater explosion in Sun Valley

Three people, including a Southern California Gas Co. employee, remained hospitalized Wednesday night after being burned in an explosion that occurred when a tankless water heater was being installed at a Sun Valley business.
Authorities responded to a report of an explosion about 11:15 a.m. in the 8900 block of North Glenoaks Boulevard, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.
The three suffered minor burns, said Joe D’Anna, a spokesman for Southern California Gas Co.
No other information was released.
It is unclear what caused the explosion.
