Woman found dead in Monterey Park; homicide detectives on scene

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman who was found dead early Friday in a Monterey Park neighborhood.
The woman was found in the 1700 block of College View Drive about 4:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The woman, pronounced dead at the scene, was not immediately identified. Authorities said it remained unclear how she died.
There was no other information immediately available.
