Man’s body found in La Puente; cause of death unclear

Authorities are investigating how a man whose body was found in La Puente over the weekend died.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said deputies found the man about 2 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Puente Avenue. The circumstances of how his body was found, or what condition it was in, were not immediately available Monday.

The man, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

While the death has not been ruled malicious, the Sheriff’s Department said homicide detectives were investigating.
