A rock slide in Malibu blocked both lanes of a popular commuter route Monday.
Both lanes of Las Virgenes Road were closed near the tunnel after the slide was reported at 6:53 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.
Traffic was affected as far away as the Pacific Coast Highway, she said.
Crews were called in to clear the debris, Posada said, but was no estimate for when the lanes would be reopened.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
[Updated, 10:10 a.m. PST Nov. 11: Road crews cleared the debris and reopened traffic lanes as of 8:42 a.m., officials said.]
