Los Angeles police were searching for a suspect Monday afternoon in Reseda following a pursuit and reports of shots fired, authorities said.
The pursuit involved at least three suspects and Los Angeles Police Department officers.
Two of the suspects were detained as officers swarmed an area near Tampa Avenue and Strathern Street and set up a perimeter, according to law enforcement authorities. Officers in the San Fernando Valley were placed on a modified tactical alert, which means they can be kept on duty beyond their shift and may only respond to high-priority calls.
The incident began after a reported robbery in the area. No other details were immediately available.
