Girl Scout cookies: ‘Person of interest’ sought in phony-cash probe

Riverside County authorities say there is another lesson: Beware of fake money.
In late February, police officers in Lake Elsinore were called to the area near Lakeshore and Riverside drives about at least one person suspected of buying cookies with counterfeit currency.
Authorities say surveillance video captured a “person of interest,” and investigators are hoping the public can help identify the woman on camera. Anyone with information is asked to call (951) 245-3300.
