A woman died in a Hollywood Hills traffic accident Monday morning, according to Los Angeles Fire Department officials.
Firefighters responded to a call at 6:53 a.m. Monday in the 2000 block of North Laurel Canyon Boulevard, near Kirkwood Drive, said spokesman Brian Humphrey. A midsize white SUV was found on its side at the bottom of an embankment, where it had slammed into a tree, according LAFD reports.
The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was found inside the vehicle. Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene, Humphrey said.
The SUV will be taken apart to confirm that no other victims remain in the damaged vehicle.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division will investigate the crash.
