Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near McDermitt, Nev.

A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Thursday afternoon 34 miles from McDermitt, Nev., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:56 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 103 miles from Elko, Nev., 104 miles from Mountain Home, Ida., 107 miles from Kuna, Ida., and 119 miles from Boise, Ida.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
