Earthquake: 3.1 quake strikes near San Leandro

A shallow magnitude 3.1 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning one mile from San Leandro, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 10:07 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 3.1 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was four miles from Ashland, four miles from San Lorenzo, five miles from Alameda and 67 miles from Sacramento.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
