Reader photo: An unlikely urban dweller

There’s no telling what you’ll see on the streets of East Los Angeles on any given day. So when Rinzi Ruiz set out intending to photograph the city’s skyline but spotted a random, lone rooster roaming an alley off Main Street, he took the shot.
“I thought it was odd it was there alone,” Ruiz said. “But then I thought of how fitting it was. Finding the hard-core rooster in that area of L.A.”
The image was taken with a Fujifilm X100.
