Isla Vista rampage memorial

Santa Barbara residents and UC Santa Barbara students participate in a memorial march on campus in remembrance of those who were killed and injured by Elliot Rodger one year ago in Isla Vista.

The memorial ceremony included speeches, a solemn dance performance, an a capella rendition of “Amazing Grace” and the tolling of six chimes, one for each of the students killed.

The march led from Stork Plaza to People’s Park, where a memorial was set up for the six students killed and the fourteen injured in the May 23, 2014, attack. Hundreds attended the ceremony.

The vigil included a moment of silence to remember the victims.

The ceremony began at Stork Plaza on the UC Santa Barbara campus and moved to a memorial in People’s Park.
