Sunset L.A. Beach Cities Home & Garden Tour set for Saturday

In conjunction with its current Idea House in Manhattan Beach, Sunset magazine, along with Modern Home Tours, will host a self-guided Home and Garden Tour on Saturday showcasing innovative homes and gardens chosen by the magazine’s editors.
The Sunset Magazine L.A. Beach Cities Home & Garden Tour will feature five distinctive properties including a garden-focused retreat in Venice designed by Santiago Ortiz which we profiled in 2012, a mixed-use building composed of shipping containers by Peter DeMaria, Lee + Mundwiler architects’ Coconut House in Marina del Rey — dubbed so because of its dark exterior shell and white interior — and an eco-friendly project in Manhattan Beach by ras-a, inc.
The self-guided tour ends at the Sunset Idea House in Manhattan Beach with a wine-and-cheese reception and a tour of the home with Idea House designers DISC Interiors.
The tour runs Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $60.
