Last year’s ramen show Ramen Yokocho at the Torrance Cultural Art Center drew about 20,000 visitors in two days. So this year’s event, which takes place Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., has moved to Santa Anita Park in Arcadia to accommodate 30,000 people. Fourteen ramen restaurants from Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, Las Vegas and Japan will showcase their signature bowls of ramen (for $8 a bowl). Some restaurants will prepare ramen exclusively for the event. The Los Angeles ramen shops include Daikokuya, Fujin, Jidaiya, Men Oh Tokushima, Hayatemaru and Shin Sen Gumi. From Japan: Horaiya, Mattou Seimen, Tatsunoya and Tsujita Tokyo. Admission is $5 (free for ages 17 and younger. Santa Anita parking is $4 per car. 285 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, www.RamenYokochoUS.com.
