Bulgarini Gelato now open at Grand Central Market

Bulgarini Gelato, the Italian gelato and sorbetto store with locations in Altadena and Culver City, is now serving scoops at a cart at the Grand Central Market. It’s one of the latest additions to contribute to the revamp of the growing food arcade.
Bulgarini, which landed at No. 93 on Jonathan Gold’s list of the 101 best L.A. restaurants, is famous for owner Leo Bulgarini’s creamy gelato concoctions, made with ingredients straight from Italy.
Flavors include pistachio, made with nuts that have been hand-carried back from the Sicilian pistachio village of Bronte, Florentine chocolate with sea salt, and yogurt gelato with a drizzle of olive oil. The cart will also serve sorbettos with fresh fruit flavors.
Similar to Bulgarini Gelato’s policy of a two scoop minimum, the cart offers two scoops for $6 and three for $7.50.
The cart showed up, tucked in a corner of the market last week near the Hill St. entrance. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
