Academy Awards 2014: Lupita Nyong’o rules red carpet in Fred Leighton headband

Lupita Nyong’o has ruled every red carpet she’s graced this season, and Sunday night we’re focusing on that beautiful Fred Leighton gold and diamond headband atop her head as she walked the red carpet.

Hair accessories don’t seem to be a trend at this year’s Oscars, but Nyong’o may have set a precedent for awards shows to come.

Her short hair certainly is a huge trend, however. Kristin Chenoweth, Portia de Rossi, Charlize Theron and Jennifer Lawrence were all wearing short and chic ‘dos on the red carpet.
