Cameron Crowe’s untitled romantic comedy starring Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams has been pushed from its Christmas release date and will now open May 29, 2015, Columbia Pictures and Regency Enterprises have announced.
The Hawaii-set film stars Cooper as a successful military contractor who reconnects with an old flame (McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog (Stone) assigned to him. Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride and Alec Baldwin co-star.
Crowe wrote and directed the film, his first since 2011’s “We Bought a Zoo.” He is also producing with Scott Rudin.
Moving the film to summer 2015 means it won’t be in the mix for this year’s awards season.
On its new date, Crowe’s film is scheduled to open opposite Focus Features’ horror movie “Insidious Chapter 3” and Paramount Pictures’ animated movie “Monster Trucks.”
