Giuliana Rancic is thanking a baby she has yet to conceive for saving her life. When the E! host and “Giuliana & Bill” reality TV star went in for a third round of in vitro fertilization, her doctor insisted she have a mammogram. The test came back positive for breast cancer and Rancic, who has chronicled her pregnancy journey for the show, went in for a double lumpectomy days later. Mariska Hargitay is celebrating a new addition to the family: a baby boy. Andrew is the second child the “Law & Order: SVU” actress and husband Peter Hermann have adopted this year. The new baby joins big brother August, 5, and 6-month-old Amaya, who joined the family in April.

Susan Sarandon is in some hot water with the Catholic Church and Anti-Defamation League after referring to Pope Benedict XVI as a Nazi. Shia LaBeouf reportedly took a beating in a Vancouver, Canada, bar fight last week. Video of the tussle surfaced on TMZ, showing a shirtless man pummeling the “Transformers” star. Zachary Quinto is a private guy, so it came as somewhat of a surprise when he casually referred to himself as a “gay man” during an interview with New York magazine.
