Motorola to unveil Moto G on Nov. 13; expect a low-cost smartphone

Motorola has something big planned for next week, and we’re thinking it’ll likely announce a low-cost smartphone.
The Google-owned phone maker began teasing the Nov. 13 announcement by sending emails to journalists and adding a new section to its website.
The email and the new Web page both feature a globe with the Motorola logo etched in the middle. However, neither divulges much information besides saying “Moto G” and the Nov. 13 date.

As speculation on the Web goes, the company is likely to unveil a low-cost and smaller-sized version of the Moto X flagship smartphone.
Some on the Web claim the device will feature a 4.5-inch screen, run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and come with a 5-megapixel camera. Customers may also be able to choose from a number of different color options.
However, at this point, much of the talk about the Moto G remains speculation and nothing more.
Motorola tried to make a big splash in the smartphone market with the Moto X by letting AT&T customers customize the phone to their liking. But the strategy does not appear to have worked, since Motorola recently cut the price of the device in half.
