Singer-songwriter Mike Love of the Beach Boys has listed his estate in Pebble Beach for sale at $5.79 million.
The custom Mediterranean, built in 2006, occupies more than an acre of land overlooking Point Lobos with an 8,995-square-foot main residence, an outdoor kitchen and a guest apartment with a full kitchen and an office.
Tuscan-style interiors run throughout the four-story floor plan and feature a soft color palette with hand-painted frescos, blond hardwood flooring and vaulted living spaces. Among its amenities are a gym, a screening room and a lower-level basement area complete with a wine cellar and a tasting room. In all, there are seven bedrooms, seven baths, five fireplaces and an elevator.
Love, 73, continues to tour under the Beach Boys name in concert with Bruce Johnston. He is the uncle of former UCLA Bruins basketball star and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love.
Love, whose primary residence is near Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, Nev., previously asked as much as $7.9 million for the home in 2009. Steve and Noel Beutel of Sotheby’s International Realty have the listing.
