CC Sabathia, the New York Yankees’ All-Star pitcher, has listed his home near Fairfield, Calif., for sale at $1.5 million.
The custom home, built in 2004, is located in Eastridge, a private gated community in Solano County’s Green Valley. Designed for casual indoor-outdoor living, the property features a custom pool with water features, an outdoor kitchen and a “man cave” complete with custom stadium seating, a row of flat-screen televisions, a wet bar and various baseball memorabilia.
The master suite, one of three bedrooms and three full baths, has a sitting area with a fireplace and a wet bar with a wine chiller. Another bedroom is outfitted with a sports theme, down to a football field rug and leather baseball glove chairs.
Outdoors, a generous patio space with a barbecue area and fireplace overlooks a resort-like stone pool that has a covered spa and waterfall.
Sabathia, 33, is recuperating from a right-knee injury and hopes to return to the mound before the All-Star break in July. The Vallejo native, now in his sixth season with the Yankees, has gone 3-4 this season with an earned-run average of 5.28. He is a six-time All-Star and the American League Cy Young Award-winner in 2007.
Records show that Sabathia and his wife, Amber, purchased the home in 2004 for $1.065 million. The pitcher owns two additional homes in the area. Cathleen Rojas of RE/MAX Gold is the listing agent.
