HauteLook, an online store owned by Nordstrom Inc., is relocating to double the size of its distribution center.
The company announced this week that it is moving to the Glen Helen Distribution Center in San Bernardino, about an hour east of Los Angeles.
The new distribution center takes up 604,000 square feet, more than double the size of the current facility in Fontana. The move should be complete by September.
The new building was finished last year by Alere Property Group, which still owns the property, and sits on 30 acres of land.
HauteLook’s lease is for 10 years.
HauteLook.com allows members to purchase designer apparel, accessories, home decor and other products at highly discounted rates during a limited time period.
The membership is free and allows patrons get the latest private sales, which typically offer 50% to 75% off retail prices and can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
The company has been around since 2007 and started with just four employees in a rundown building at Los Angeles Street and Olympic Boulevard.
Still based in Los Angeles, the company now sits near 12th and Flower streets, close to Staples Center and L.A. Live.
