Some of you out there undoubtedly have put “run a marathon” on your list of New Year’s resolutions. Maybe you’re in need of a little guidance -- and inspiration. Here’s a coach who can provide both.
Rod Dixon, director of training and coaching for the Honda L.A. Marathon and a former Olympic medal winner, will be the guest on a live Web chat Monday (2 p.m. EST, 1 p.m. CST and 11 a.m. PST). Dixon will discuss topics such as the mechanics of running and how to plan a training program.
There’s a lot of online advice about marathons. Here’s a good source that covers the basics: “26 tips for running your best 26.2” from Runner’s World magazine.
Then come to the discussion and get some answers to your running questions.
