Palm Springs: A room and all that jazz at La Quinta Resort & Club
- Share via
La Quinta Resort & Club near Palm Springs dials it down a notch for fall with a series of smooth-jazz concerts on the hotel’s main lawn. You can buy individual tickets to see performers such as Marc Antoine and Paul Brown or spring for a weekend package that adds a room and breakfast.
The deal: The Grooves in the Grove jazz package requires a two-night stay and includes two tickets to a concert and daily breakfast for two. Concerts feature different performers each Friday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Rooms start at $249 per night, plus tax and resort fee.
When: The offer is good until the last concert Nov. 26.
Tested: I checked online and found a room at the $249 rate with a garden view and king-sized bed. That price doesn’t include tax or the $27-per-night resort fee that covers Wi-Fi, parking, some phone charges and access to the fitness center.
I found the package available for two nights starting Oct. 15, including tickets to see the band Hiroshima perform that evening. By comparison, I found the room alone on the same night for $229 pre-tax. So for $20 more, you get the breakfasts and tickets.
Fine print: Concert tickets may be purchased separately for $25 to $40 each. Click here for a list of upcoming performers.
