Reality show’s Bruce Nash buys Sherman Oaks home for record-breaking $6,075,000

Reality show producer Bruce Nash has bought a newly built San Fernando Valley home for $6,075,000, the highest sale on record for Sherman Oaks, according to Multiple Listing Service data going back to 1990.
The gated estate includes a main house with a great room, high ceilings, an office, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms in 8,500 square feet; a guesthouse with two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,100 square feet; a pool house with a kitchenette and bathroom in 500 square feet, and a five-car garage. The site of more than an acre, once owned by actor Lou Costello of the comic duo Abbott and Costello, has a swimming pool. Costello bought a former home on the property in the 1940s for $13,500, according to “Movie Star Homes” by Judy Artunian and Mike Oldham.
Nash, 62, has been an executive producer for series including “Most Daring” (2007-present), “Adrenaline Rush Hour” (2009) and “Amazing Sports Stories” (2008), as well as a producer, writer and the creator of “Modern Marvels” (1995-2007).
The listing agent was Moe Abourched of Re/Max OTB Estates, Sherman Oaks. Matt Epstein of the same office represented the buyer, the MLS shows.
