With a global recession hurting air travel, Los Angeles International Airport expects to have 10% fewer passengers passing through the airport during the Memorial Day holiday weekend that kicks off today. But planes are still likely to be packed with travelers because airlines have been cutting flights and flying smaller planes, LAX officials said.
