New York state police say two Pennsylvania men robbed a gas station and might have gotten away -- if they had taken the time to fuel up.
Troopers said they caught Lonnie Meckwood, 29, and Phillip Weeks, 51, about a mile away after their getaway car ran out of gas late Monday night.
Meckwood and Weeks are being held in the Broome County Jail, accused of using a knife to rob a clerk at a convenience store in Kirkwood. The clerk wasn’t hurt.
