Boston 18, at Baltimore 10: Victor Martinez, obtained Friday in a trade with Cleveland, tied a career high with five hits, Josh Reddick and Rocco Baldelli each hit a home run and the Red Sox won their fourth consecutive game.
Kansas City 4, at Tampa Bay 1: John Buck ended a no-hit bid by James Shields (6-8) with a leadoff single that started a two-run eighth inning.
at Cleveland 11, Detroit 1: Carl Pavano (9-8) gave up one run and six hits in eight innings and was backed up with home runs by Asdrubal Cabrera and Grady Sizemore.
at Texas 4, Seattle 2: Jarrod Saltalamachia hit a tie-breaking two-run home run in the seventh inning and Scott Feldman (10-4) pitched seven strong innings.
Toronto 7, at Oakland 2: Ricky Romero (10-4) gave up two runs in seven innings to join Tampa Bay’s Jeff Niemann as the only rookies with double-digit victories.
Angels 13, at Minnesota 4: Kendry Morales hit two home runs for the Angels.
