Standard Pacific chief retires

Home builder Standard Pacific Corp., which has lost more than three-quarters of its market value in the last year, said Chief Executive Stephen Scarborough had retired.
Scarborough, who was with the company for 27 years, is being replaced by Jeffrey Peterson, 62, who has been on the board since 2001, Irvine-based Standard Pacific said.
