Cal State Fullerton advances

Cal State Fullerton sophomore Jasmine Scott scored 22 points as the Titans advanced to the second round of the Big West Conference women’s tournament with a 69-51 victory over Long Beach State on Wednesday at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Fullerton, the sixth-seeded team, won its third straight game in improving to 11-18 overall and will face No. 3-seeded UC Riverside today.
Scott was 10 for 15 from the field and had four assists in the victory over the seventh-seeded 49ers (9-20).
Brett Timmons led Long Beach State with 12 points and six rebounds.
Cal Poly SLO 76, UC Irvine 61 -- Freshman Kristina Santiago scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds to lead the fifth-seeded Mustangs past the eighth-seeded Anteaters.
The Mustangs (12-18) won for the third time in their last four games and advanced to face fourth-seeded Pacific today.
UC Irvine finished the season at 7-24.
