“Funny Frank”
Dick King-Smith
This book is a comedy to me because it makes me laugh. It is funny because it is about a chick who wants to become a duck. A girl names the chick Frank. Unfortunately, the chick is just not duck material. He tries to swim and nearly drowns. After his friends and family get him all dried off, they say, “Do not let him near that pond ever again.” All Frank thinks about is swimming.
Will Frank ever be able to swim? Read the book and find out.

“Horrible Harry and the Dungeon”
Suzy Kline
In Harry’s school there is a new suspension room teacher. Harry and his friend think the suspension room teacher is mean.
You should read this story to find out if the suspension room teacher is mean or nice.
I like this story because at first Harry did not want to go to the “dungeon” (otherwise known as the suspension room). Then he changes his mind so his friend won’t get in trouble.
I also liked it because it was funny.
The author wrote this story about Harry and class 2B for her second graders. She wrote it for all school kids so they can have fun reading it.
