San Jose 3, at Philadelphia 1: Douglas Murray and Milan Michalek scored goals in the third period and the Sharks handed the Flyers to a ninth consecutive loss.
at N.Y. Islanders 1, Tampa Bay 0: Miroslav Satan broke a scoreless tie in the third period and Rick DiPietro stopped 32 shots.
Boston 5, at Florida 4 (SO): Marco Sturm scored the only goal of the shootout after the Bruins had rallied from a two-goal, third-period deficit.
Buffalo 5, at Toronto 1: Ales Kotalik scored two goals to help the Sabres win for the 10th time in 14 games.
Columbus 3, at Ottawa 2 (SO): Rick Nash scored in regulation and in a shootout for the Blue Jackets, who won for the first time in franchise history at Ottawa.
Pittsburgh 5, at Montreal 4: Evgeni Malkin scored his 35th goal and became the first player to reach 80 points this season.
Vancouver 3, at Nashville 2 (SO): Mason Raymond scored two goals, including one in the shootout, and assisted on another.
at Kings 5, St. Louis 1: Alexander Frolov scored three goals and Patrick O’Sullivan had a goal and four assists.
